I stand here today, as a person honored of the trust and hope given to me, looking forward to the tasks that lay ahead of us. Here we are today, strong with the determination and willpower to push out nation into something great, a country that every citizen can be proud of and call “home.”
In the past, out forefathers were great leaders that inspired us to keep moving forward and helping us thrust our boundaries into something better. Throughout the years, we have become equals and evolved from the thoughts of prejudice and discrimination. Our mind sets may have flaws, but it turns to the right direction: not basing people on their ethnicity, religion, or race. We spoke our minds and extended our arms out to other countries, giving ourself the title, “a free nation.”
Our daily lives have taken a down-turn. The problems we encounter keep developing, but there will be change. The crisis we are going through will be uplifted and revolutionize America. The war in Iraq continues at the same pace, still having the same number of sacrifices. The unnerving thoughts of having a family member die in the midst of war.
Another issue is education, which is a grand factor in the lives of future generations. It is the foundation of a child’s experience that helps them through reality. Our economy has taken a plunge and resulted into many losing their jobs. As the days come and go our dependence on oil strengthens, threatening our planet and increasing global warming. Now is the time. A new era will be created and our troubles decreased. It is now that America will be restored to its once great nation.
America has broken itself into separate pieces based on greed and selfishness. But now is when our country will once again become one. The problems we encounter will have its answers and if mistakes are made, we will learn from them and become stronger. The courage we share in the future, overcomes all obstacles. Together we hold each other up and continue to stride forward in what we believe is right. Until the day comes when each other’s view of their utopia has arrives, we continue the fight for our own sights of fortune and freedom.
